Avery Lamont Delfino Landeros, Sr.

November 27, 1977 — September 17, 2008

Angel of God Angel of God, my guardian dear, To whom God's love entrusts me here. Ever this day, be at my side, To lead and guard, to light and guide. Amen. Avery Lamont Delfino Landeros was born on Nov. 27, 1977 in Needles, CA. He was the second child and only son born to Barbara and Del Landeros. Chrystal was so very proud to be a 3 year old big sister. He played with cousins in the desert and began bonding with his grandfather, Dick Barrett. The Landeros family moved to Pacific Grove, CA on the Monterey Peninsula in 1980. Avery attended the Pacific Grove Co-Op preschool, where the family made new friends and the childhood fun of Holiday parties and small town traditions began. The love of camping and the ocean was being passed on. Avery was a sweet and charismatic boy full of energy. He would smile and make friends with strangers. His curious questions never ceased. He was a class clown and thought it was funny to laugh like Woody Woodpecker. In 1985, The Landeros family moved to the Sacramento area to be closer to Barbara's family. Trips to the river filled up the summer. It was during this time that he began sharing his father's love of music. Avery began playing the oboe and clarinet. His Dad taught him how to play the drums and how to play a few riffs on the bass guitar. He was a Flub Stub safety monitor at recess in the 5th grade. Lifelong friendships were already being made and the boys would help Del work on the cars in front of the house. Avery made several trips to the desert to visit his grandfather and family and friends. Crystal and Avery would spend weeks in Southern California to play with their cousins. Avery loved his family and friends. He lived life fully and wholly. BBQ's and trips to Reno for Hot August Nights became a part of life. Avery became someone to depend on. While working at the same car dealership, Avery met the Love of his life, Dawn Schlegel. The two of them became inseparable and it became apparent that their puppy love was not a phase. Dawn instantly became a part of the family. On May 28, 2003, Avery Lamont Delfino Landeros, Jr. was born. Avery became known as "Big Avery" and his love for his family and friends continued to grow. He was finally a Proud Papa. Avery will forever be remembered for his beautiful eyes and smile. His hearty laugh and helpful hands were always evident in shared times. He is a constant reminder to us all to give what you can and share what you have. Proceeded in death by his father, Delfino J. Landeros, Jr. survived by his mother Barbara Landeros, his sister and brother-in-law Crystal and Christopher Henden, and many nephews, nieces, family and friends. Also survived by his grandmother, Bonnie Barrett. He will be forever loved and missed, by all who knew him. Funeral Home: East Lawn Mortuary 5757 Greenback Lane Sacramento, CA US 95841
