Avelina Raya Dioquino

February 18, 1932 — October 21, 2008

Avelina Raya Dioquino Fondly called Velet by family and friends, our beloved mother joined Her Creator on October 21, 2008 at the age of 76. A native of Balanga, Bataan in the Philippines, she immigrated with her family to the United States in 1985 and has lived in Sacramento since 1989. She is survived by her children, Rowena (Roberto) Piezas, Romulo (Dalisay) Dioquino, Rachael Eubanks and Amabelle Dioquino; grandchildren, Jed & Mig-E, Nicky and Raya; brothers, Ildefonso Jr., Romulo and Fernando; sister, Teresita Barin. Preceded in death by her husband, Romy; grandchild, Carlo; parents, Ildefonso Raya and Rosa de Leon; sister, Nenita; brother, Peping, she now enjoys their company under God's loving embrace. She fought a long and hard battle with kidney failure. Despite her frail exterior, she was a warrior inside. It was her unwavering faith that kept her to go on and accept what the Lord has willed for her. She will be sorely missed and we can only be grateful for what a blessing she has been to our lives. Funeral Home: East Lawn Mortuary 5757 Greenback Lane Sacramento, CA US 95841
