Nathaniel Eurby Sr. was born on March 18, 1950, in Louise, Mississippi, to father Melvin Eurby Sr. and mother Bertha Brown Eurby. Nathaniel attended Montgomery Elementary School and Montgomery High School before going on to work on his family's farm. In 1966, Nathaniel moved to Oakland, California, to become a welder at AB&I Foundry, where he worked for 35 years. In 1975, Nathaniel was calling a friend's house and dialed the wrong number. A lady answered the phone, and that lady ended up being the love of his life, Judy Eurby. In 1976, they tied the knot and had two children, Nathaniel Eurby Jr. and Ericka Green Mohammed. For 30 years, they attended Saint rest Missionary Baptist Church. Nathaniel went onto open his businesses, along with his wife, in affordable childcare and affordable janitorial services. They were married for forty years. On October 3rd, 2024, Nathaniel went on to be with the Lord. He leaves behind three children: Nathaniel Eurby Jr., Ericka Green Mohammed, Clarence Eurby. He also leaves behind three sisters: Bertha Dean, Shelle Thurman, and Beatrice Eurby, and a host of grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Judy Eurby, father Melvin Eurby Sr., mother Bertha Brown Eurby, two brothers Melvin Eurby Jr., and Fred Eurby, and six sisters: Thelma Fountain, Katherine McGowan, Rosie Mae Murray, Ruthie Blanson, Barbara Eurby Starks, and Earnestine Wolf.
Nathaniel will forever be in our hearts as the best dad ever.
We love You.
