It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Troy Perez, a beloved member of our community, on October 6th, 2024. Michael (also known as Troy) was a man of many talents and deep commitments, whose life was marked by his dedication to his family, sports, and his profession.
Born 12/09/1960 and raised in Sacramento, TROY’s early years were defined by his passion for football. As the star quarterback at Sacramento High School, he led his team with skill, determination, and an unwavering spirit. His leadership on the field was a testament to his character, earning him the respect and admiration of teammates and opponents alike.
After high school, TROY channeled his drive and work ethic into building a successful business in the concrete industry. As the owner of Midtown Concrete and A to V Concrete, he was known for his exceptional craftsmanship and integrity. His work can be seen throughout the greater Sacramento community, a lasting legacy of his dedication and hard work.
Beyond his professional achievements, TROY was the cornerstone, leader and hero to many of his family. A brother, son and friend, he led with love, wisdom, and most of all strength. His family was his greatest pride, and he cherished every moment spent with them. TROY’s guidance and support were a constant source of comfort and inspiration to those who knew him.
TROY is survived by ……his son Troy Shaun Perez (who proceeded him in death), his mother- Amelia Decker, sister- Cristal Rhea(Kevin), brother- Leland Decker (Anne), his nephew Slone D’Amico & niece Chelsea Pigues, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 6 great grandnephews & nieces; and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A celebration of TROY’s life will be held on November 7, 2024 @11AM at East Lawn Sacramento/ 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95819. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to 988 LifeLine; https://988lifeline.org/donate/.
