Michael LaMonte Morris
Was born to mother: Rosetta Lee Seals and father: Michael L Mims on December 24,1966 in Tulsa Oklahoma. Raised by Raymond Morris
Michael spent his early years in Japan, where he and his family lived for four years. In 1975 Mike and his family lived out most of his childhood years in North Highlands – Sacramento, CA where he graduated high school.
Mike then attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a BA in Business Administration and master’s degree in, MIS (Management Information Systems).
Mike moved back to Sacramento CA, where he pursued his career in Intel and HP Inc. becoming a Computer Systems Manager.
Mike Fathered two other sons which he loved dearly, Alexander Miguel Rivera-Morris (Mother Olga Rivera) and Donte Terrell Morris (Mother Bridgette Reed). From then Mike married Cheryl Calhoun and, in their union, they had two children and one step- son: Taj Terrell Morris, Mekhi Leon Morris and Michael Javon Calhoun.
In 2007 Mike decided to pursue Entrepreneurship becoming the owner of two Wing Stop restaurants – which exhibited his passion for entrepreneurship.
Mike had a love for the game of basketball and football – which is why he coached and mentored a countless number of children. This birthed another one of his passions called; West coast All Stars started in the Fall of 2013.
The team along with his sons Taj and Mekhi won on huge stages in 2014. In 2015 the team was 11th in the nation.
Mike leaves behind Mother Rosetta Morris, Father’s Ray Morris and Michael L Mims and Sharon Mims, Brother (Anthony Mims), Sister’s (La Shawn Mims and Michelle Morris and their children), Son’s (Alex, Donte, Michael, Taj and Mekhi), Grandchildren (Jovi, Jameson)
