Michael Judd Aliga Yap

October 22, 1969 — April 29, 2024

Michael Judd Yap, fondly known as Judd, left this world with a legacy as colorful and vibrant as the many hobbies he pursued with passion.

A serial hobbyist, Judd was the go-to guy for any question. Whether you needed advice on astrophotography or assistance with assembling a 3D printer (before it was cool, mind you), Judd was your man. He could navigate the cosmos with his telescope, capturing breathtaking photos of eclipses, moons, and planets, all while 3D-printing whatever whimsical creations his kids dreamed up.

His nieces and nephews regarded him as the epitome of coolness with his collection of toys -from his rockets, boats, and drones to his electric skateboards, and planes. To them, Tito Judd was the embodiment of boundless adventure and endless possibility.

Throughout his life, he was a faithful friend who preserved relationships from his childhood, even after moving across the Pacific. As a devoted brother, he often expressed his love through thoughtful gifts.

His commitment to his work was unwavering, truly embodying the impact of diligence and determination. He was highly regarded by his team and colleagues, who never failed to show their appreciation by gifting him his favorite bottle of tequila.

Judd's greatest joy was found in the role of a loving father. Always at the ready to chauffeur his kids to school or the airport, lend a helping hand with homework, or whip up a batch of Spam (his culinary masterpiece).

Yet, amidst his many passions, one love stood above all others—his wife, Michelle. Together for 25 years, they forged a life filled with love, laughter, and endless exploration. From their beginnings in the Philippines to moving across the world and building a home together in the US, their bond was unbreakable.

His memory lives on in the hearts of those he held dear. He leaves behind his wife, Michelle; his children, Aina, Alex, Spy, and Max; his beloved pet, Lilly; his mother, Juliet; his siblings, Maria, Vanessa, and Angelo; along with countless friends, in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews, all of whom were touched by his warmth, his wit, and his determination.
