Mee Lai Fong

Mee Lai passed away peacefully in Elk Grove on January 20, 2023 at the age of 93. She was
born in Guangzhou, China and came to Sacramento, California in 1950. Her husband, Henry
and Mee Lai enjoyed traveling all over the world before he passed away in 2006.  

She worked many years at Del Monte Foods, Hunt Foods, and Blue Diamond Almond Growers
in Davis and Sacramento. Mee Lai enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, knitting, sewing and
had a passion for Chinese herbal medicines. She cherished spending time with her four children
and grandchildren. Her son Gardell Fong preceded her in death. Mee Lai is survived by her
children, Selina Fong Rasmussen,(Eric) Scottsdale, AZ; Gloria Gee (Ed) Sacramento, CA;
Stanley Fong (Pat) Fremont, CA; grandchildren: Austin Rasmussen, Stephanie Gee, Ryan Fong
(Tin), Erica Fong (Matt), Kristin Chang (Jonathan), and Scott Fong (Cindy); Great Grandchildren
Cameron, Nathan, and Joshua.

Rest in peace Mom and thank you for being a wonderful mother. We love you and miss you
forever.
