Mary Maxine Warren

Mary Maxine Warren passed away on Tuesday January 16, 2024 at her home in Eskaton Monroe Manor at the age of 97.   Born in Merced, CA on August 31,1926 to Loyd and Audrey Wantz, she lead a full life as a professional, housewife, and mother. After attending Merced High School and the College of the Pacific, she married Robert Leroy Warren of Turlock in 1947 and moved to Sacramento.   There they raised two sons, Mark and John.  After staying at home until the boys got out of elementary school, she went on to a clerical career with the County of Sacramento probation department from which she retired in 1992.  In retirement she enjoyed vacationing with Bob in the Sierras, Hawaii, Europe, and Mexico.   As a young girl she sang on the local radio station in Merced, then studied music in college, sang in local and church choirs, and passed her love of music onto her sons.  She was preceded in death by her husband Bob of 50 years and is survived by her sons Mark and John and her grandchildren Rosy and Tim.   No services with be held and contributions may be donated in her name to the Sacramento SPCA.
