Kathryn Haire

Mary Kathryn Haire, aged 82, peacefully passed away on

September 13, 2023, as she embarked on her eternal journey with the Lord. Kathryn, the eldest among five daughters of Harold and Mary     Ritter, was born in Sacramento, California on December 17, 1941. On July 3, 1960, she entered into holy matrimony with Reverend NL Haire, whom she had met during her active participation in the Wilton Bible Church youth group. 

Kathryn was a devoted spouse to her husband, who served as a pastor, and actively assisted him in ministering to their congregation. Additionally, she generously volunteered her time at Victory Christian School and provided childcare services to working mothers. Kathryn was a skilled homemaker, excelling in gardening, canning, and sewing. She also possessed a love for outdoor activities such as camping, backpacking, and fishing, which she enjoyed with her family. Her adventurous spirit was evident when she took the initiative to drive them on cross-country sightseeing trips after NL was no longer able to do so. Kathryn also undertook the responsibility of preserving her family's history, resulting in an extensive collection of documentation and photo albums.

Kathryn has been preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Reverend NL Haire, her parents Harold and Mary Ritter, as well as her grandson Michael Lee Haire. She is survived by her children Brenda King (Brian) and their children Matthew and Jenna, Linda Davis (Aaron) and her children James and BreAnna, and Michael Haire (Deanna) and their children Jessica and Kathrine. Additionally, her sisters Karen Greb, Donna Swenson (Carl), Carol Corpus, Peggy Murray (Alan) and their children Brandon, Haley, and Elizabeth, along with 10 great grandchildren, mourn her loss. Kathryn also leaves behind her cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous extended family members and close friends who have been deeply impacted by her life.
