Mary Ann Serio

4/16/1947 – 3/29/2026

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our mother, Mary Ann (Orzo) Serio, who passed away early Sunday morning, March 29, 2026, at the age of 78, after a brief illness.

Mary Ann was born on April 16, 1947, to Joseph and Stella Orzo. She grew up in Queens, New York, along with her younger brother Thomas Orzo (who passed away in 2011). In 1978, Mary Ann and her husband of 45 years, George Serio, would move their family to Rancho Cordova, California, where she dedicated her life to her family as a homemaker, raising and caring for her three children. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husband, George, who passed away in 2016.

Mary Ann enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She was a fan of crocheting, plants, Hallmark movies, reading mystery novels, collecting clown figurines, and spending time with her children and her cats.

She is survived by her children, Thomas, Debbie, and Michael, as well as her two cats Scotty and Spock.

Services for Mary Ann will be held on Mary Ann's birthday, Thursday, April 16 2026 at 11:00am at the East Lawn Memorial Park at 4300 Folsom Blvd, Sacramento CA 95819.
