Martina Williams

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Martina Williams, 81, who passed away peacefully on March 23,2026 in Sacramento California.

Martina was born December 14, 1944 in Joliet, Illinois to Martin Frank Perona and Anne Lucille Perona. Martina embraced life with joy, positivity, and enthusiasm, and her beautiful smile warmed the hearts of everyone she encountered. She was a wonderful, beautiful, timeless, kind heart, and a shining light in so many lives. She will be greatly missed by many who loved her. 

 Martina loved her children and grandchildren. She cherished her family and was a giving soul who always lent a hand to those in need. Her Catholic faith was a strong guiding force in her commitment to a life of compassion and love. 

She loved gardening and all animals, and all animals loved her, and she loved watching the migratory birds each fall, able to identify every species. She was a wonderful cook and baker, making every carefully curated dish from scratch. She was an amazing seamstress, fashioning her own beautiful designs before she had her children, then sewing each of them tailored outfits with care.

 She worked in the communication division of the Sacramento Police Department as an Administrative Assistant from November of 1987 until her retirement in June of 2001. She was beloved by her colleagues, always going out of her way to help and brighten anyone’s day. 

Martina is survived by her husband, Rex Williams; her children, Christopher Williams, Anthony Williams, and Erin Hare; her grandchildren Colin Williams, Brayden Williams, and Brielle Williams; and her siblings Madonna Kelly, and Donna Perona. > > She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Frank Perona and Anne Lucille Perona, and her sister, Kathleen Anne Ording, and brother Martin Patrick Perona. 

 A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at East Lawn Cemetery, 5757 Greenback Lane, Citrus Heights California
