Mark Allen Wheeler

Mark Allen Wheeler of Chattanooga TN, passed away on June 20th 2026 in Carmichael CA.

Mark was born to Mary and Al Wheeler on December 14th 1941. He graduated from Central High School in Chattanooga and served in the Army as a medic. He married Ulrike Hersenser in 1966 and had 3 children with her, Maike, Marc and Sarah. Mark worked most of his life as a dispatcher in the trucking industry. Mark earned a degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee and worked as a drug and alcohol counselor later in life. He divorced and married Fran Pedraza in 1986. He was a caring mentor to her 4 sons, David, Jim, Rick and Mark.

Mark is survived by his first wife 3 children, 2 of his stepchildren, and his granddaughter Gabrielle Henning.

His family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses at the VA and Whitney Oaks who helped him as he struggled with the cancer that eventually claimed his life.
