Marion Lorraine Hardin Perridon passed away on March 23, 2022 she was born January 1, 1928 which is New Yearâs Day, the whole World celebrated her birthday
She, indeed, was quite dynamic and was one of a kind. Marion was known for her elegance, class and beauty as well as her terrific sense of humor. She became âMiss Black Fort Worthâ in 1948. She was a caring and charitable lady, Marion contributed to many organizations.
Upon graduating from Wiley College, San Francisco State University and Sacramento State University, she became a teacher and was adored by her students. The many students she taught both nationally and internationally, such as in Okinawa, Japan, she adored in return. She became the âDistrict Teacher of the Yearâ in 1986, as well as the âDistrict Reading Specialistâ.
She was long married to Joseph C. Perridon who was an Air Force gentleman. She had two beautiful and well brought up daughters who were Deirdre and Monique. She has three grandchildren Marion, Dorian and Audrey, as well as four great grandchildren Daniel, Synai, Josiah and Desmond. They were taught to have a positive outlook and get the most out of life. They enjoyed traveling as much as their mother who traveled to 62 different countries, which included the continent of Asia, Africa and Europe. She enjoyed taking many cruises around the World.
Marion had nine siblings -Joyce, LaRue, Seth, Ned, Joseph, Leonard, Olga, Raphaelia and Lonel. Her siblings lived a long time because of their adoring mother whom they called âGod, the secondâ. She was highly admired, very religious and unique. Marion believed that she owed her longevity to her mothers teachings.
Marion will be deeply missed by all that knew her. Friends, students and all are invited to the celebration of Marionâs life which will be held on April 14, 2022.
