Mario, a beloved son and brother, passed away peacefully and unexpectedly on July 6th, 2026 at the young age of 23.
He was born on February 28th, 2003 to parents Michel and Sylvana Ishac in Folsom, CA. As a little boy, Mario was quite active and engaged in sports such as soccer and taekwondo, earning a black belt. He did Boy Scouts for many years. He possessed a lot of energy and lit up every room with his humor.
As a teenager and young adult, he loved working with younger children, tutoring them in math and coding. He was super passionate about programming and quickly became a coding geek. He would spend hours at his computer, honing his coding skills, sharing his knowledge, and helping other programmers.
He was eager to begin his career early, eventually joining a start-up company called Kintsugi while attending high school. He participated and won in hackathons. He graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2026 with a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
Mario was a loving son and a protective big brother. He loved coming home for his mom’s Tabbouleh, working on special projects with his dad, and watching Netflix series together. As he began life away from home, he was always reassuring his parents not to worry about him. He also looked out for his sister with a kind and caring heart. Humble and selfless, his funny, lighthearted personality made him a joy to be around. He genuinely enjoyed meeting new people and hearing their stories.
Mario always had big dreams and wanted to show his parents that he could forge his own path to success. His life was taken far too soon, but his ambition, optimism for the future, and the lives he impacted will never be forgotten. Words simply cannot express how much he will be missed.
He is survived by his parents Michel and Sylvana; sister Adriana; a loving extended family, including his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins; and countless friends whose lives he touched. Mario, we know you are in heaven watching over us, until we meet again. We love you so much. May the Good Lord wrap you in His loving arms and grant you eternal peace and rest.
