Margit I. De Cell

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on  December 5, 2022, of Margit I. De Cell, wife, mother, and friend.

Margit was born on August 28, 1944 in Rummelsburg Germany, in what is today Poland. She was the third of four children born to Luis and Elfriede Dittmann.

The family fled the fighting in eastern Germany at the end of World War Two eventually settling in Oftersheim, West Germany, outside of Heidelberg in 1952.

In 1966 she married Dennis De Cell who was stationed in Germany in the U.S. Army,

eventually relocating to  the United States.

Years later, Margit and Dennis welcomed their son Mark.

Margit retired from Budget Rent a Car in 2010 after 40 years of service. Throughout her life Margit enjoyed traveling with her family, spending time with her dogs, and enjoying her hobbies of antiques and interior design.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dennis, who passed away in 2014. She is survived by her son Mark, daughter-in-law Rachel, her sister Ilsa, brother Jurgen, and many family and friends who will miss her.
