Mandeep Jang Bahadur Singh Behniwal

Mandeep Jang Bahadur Singh Behniwal was born in Ghataur, Punjab on October 15, 1956. His early childhood was marked by hard work, balancing his home obligations with academics. His curiosity and discipline would serve him well as he excelled in his exams, eventually graduating from Dayanand Medical College in Punjab. He went on to practice anesthesiology and psychiatry.

Throughout his life, Mandeep loved to read and learn. His interests included regional politics, history, and law to name a few. Earlier on in his life he enjoyed playing field hockey. He was an enthusiastic cricket fan, often staying up late to watch live matches, and playing chess with anyone. Mandeep also found joy in connecting to people, learning about their histories. He prioritized his family, enjoying himself most at family birthdays and holidays.

Mandeep was an everloving father to his two children Baani and Neil and Dada to his two grandchildren, Rohan and Remy. His gentle nature often led him to find both small and large ways to spoil those he loved, especially when it came to sharing sweet treats. While he himself loved a good meal, he loved more seeing his family share the foods he enjoyed.

Mandeep’s kindness and devotion will be missed by all those with whom he shared his life.
