Madelyn Elena Coleman

April 20, 1949 — October 1, 2023

Madelyn Elena Coleman was born Magdelena Esparza on April 20th 1949 to Jubenal and Angelina Esparza in Hayward, California. Madelyn was the loving wife of deceased Charles Coleman and a wonderful mother to her four surviving children Christina Pendygraft, Carlos Coleman, Carmelita Brown, and Consuelo Garrett. She had fifteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren with another on the way. Everyone went to grandma’s house for love, food, advice, you name it. Grandma could be counted on for anything.

She loved gardening and made that her every day hobby. She even did the neighbor’s yard, all from her wheelchair. She also loved baking and learned how to use YouTube on her phone to get recipes from Paula Deen. She especially loved her grandchildren and it made her day to have them visit.

Mama was baptized in 1974 as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and stayed loyal to her God, her Father and Friend. She will be rewarded for her loyalty and awaken in Paradise where no more suffering will exist. She will be joined with her husband in perfect health and never have to worry about seeing another hospital.
Mama went to sleep on Sunday October 1st after she fought the hardest battle of her life. She overcame the odds that even surprised the doctors but her body was not as strong as her spirit and it was time to let her rest.

We Love You Mama. See you in Paradise.
