Lynda May Goodwater-Reilly

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Lynda May Goodwater-Reilly, who left us peacefully on July 9, 2025, at the age of 77.

Lynda was a loving wife, devoted mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a true friend to many. Born on June 30, 1948, she spent much of her life raising her children between Redding and Sacramento, California, where she built a life filled with family, hard work, and deep compassion.

Lynda found her calling in the restaurant industry, where she worked for many years as a dedicated server. Her strong work ethic, warm smile, and genuine care for others made her a beloved presence in every establishment she graced. After retiring, Lynda enjoyed the simple joys of life — playing bingo, spending time with her family, and cherishing the friendships she cultivated over the years.

She is survived by her loving husband, Michael, her daughters Julie and Jodie, her granddaughters Amber, Emily, and Jerrilynn, and her seven great-grandchildren, who were the light of her later years.

Lynda was the kind of person who could melt the hardest heart — full of warmth, love, and deep compassion. To know her was to love her. Her presence was a gift, her laughter a comfort, and her love unwavering.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate Lynda’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.

She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered always.
