Lonna Rae Pettigrew, 56, of Sacramento left us unexpectedly on Sunday, March 5th. Beloved wife of Jeffrey Pettigrew, loving mother of Michael (Shannon), Nicholas (Micaela), Keshauna, and Shaun. Grandmother of Kaylee, Cody, and Atticus. Survived by adoring parents Richard and Melba Strom, brother Robert (Alissa) and a large extended family.
Lonna’s early years were spent playing soccer for both the Valley High School Vikings and the Sac United competitive soccer league. Lonna also loved playing softball.
Lonna ran the Jackman Middle School cafeteria until she was promoted to the district level Food Services Department. When the opportunity presented itself, she accepted the challenge to become the owner of Heartbeat CPR Educators here in Sacramento. Lonna has served both the medical and general community for over 10 years as a dedicated CPR provider.
She was a hard worker that spent many hours supporting all her children in their various activities. While her oldest two were in high school you could find Lonna selling fireworks in the July heat or working concessions as a Valley High School Football Booster Mom. Lonna was also an avid Disney fan that loved spending time at the parks with her family. She was a supporter and season ticket holder of the Sac Republic.
Lonna will forever be known as a dedicated wife and mother that loved her husband and children with her whole heart. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and the CPR community.
