Lois (Clark) Norris, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024, at the age of 85. She was born in Sacramento on January 16, 1939, where she spent most of her days; she called San Francisco, Salinas, and Elk Grove home as well.
Lois was a proud member of the Sacramento High School Class of 1956, the Native Daughters of the Golden West, and her local Lutheran congregations at St. Paul's and Gloria Dei. She was an avid photographer and painter, and always took pride in her garden—especially her snowball bushes. Her selflessness and dedication to helping those around her will leave a lasting impact on her community and those she loved.
She joins her husband Gary, parents Wilbur and Frances, and great-grandson Otto in heaven, and is survived by her children Carrie, Craig (Annie), and Cathi, and siblings Frances (Scott) and Allen (Norma). She is also survived by grandchildren Courtney (Chris), Corey, Cody (Mindy), Jaovonni (Nikki), and Craig Andrew.
Services will be held at East Lawn Memorial Park, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Viewing is from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., and the service will be from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with graveside ceremony immediately following.
