Lisa Uharriett

January 2, 1965 — October 5, 2022

On Oct. 5, 2022, Lisa Ann Uharriet-Escobar passed away peacefully at home with her children by her side after battling ALS/Lou Gehrig's disease since 2019. Lisa was the single mother of two children: Erica Escobar and Albert Moreland IV, who both were her caregivers until the end.

Lisa was born Jan. 2, 1965 in San Francisco, CA, and was the youngest of four children of Nancy and John Uharriet. Lisa attended school in San Francisco and took an interest in music and dance at a young age, which later turned into a passion as she grew older. She loved Latin music and dance especially.

In her late 20's, Lisa had the opportunity to go into recruiting in San Francisco where she became a major success and thrived in the industry. She later went on to take her business skills to open up her own recruiting business under EES Staffing, while still being a single mother of two.

Lisa went on to stay in the recruiting industry for 15 years before transitioning into the health care industry. She worked in Solano County as a Branch Manager for multiple senior care agencies, where her new passion developed, helping those in their later years of life. Lisa went on to work in the senior care industry for the next 10 years until receiving her ALS diagnosis.

Lisa will be remembered for being a loving and caring mother, who was also strong, resilient, and had the heart of a stallion. She never gave up and would never take "No" for an answer, no matter how hard life got. Her children will remember her always as the mother who taught them to be tough and strong, yet kind and caring in life.

We will all miss Lisa very much. Her love, energy, passion, smile, and laughter will all be missed but not forgotten. She will stay alive with us through the memories we all have of her. It's never a "goodbye", but "until we meet again".

Graveside Ceremony Will be held Tuesday 10/18/2022 2pm

East Lawn Elk Grove, 9189 East Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove 95624
