Lisa Emde

Lisa Emde received her angel wings on 8/31/24 and granted the gift of life to those in need through organ donation. Lisa was a bright and beautiful person who deeply loved her family and friends. She obtained her undergraduate and masters degrees in social work and dedicated a large portion of her life to helping foster children as a social worker. Her empathy for others not only made her the perfect person for her line of work but was also at the core of her relationships with others. She was lucky to meet and marry the love of her life who shared her love of laughter and family for 32 years. Lisa had a knack for getting to know everyone she encountered in the community and would regularly greet people by name. For those close to her, Lisa was an expert at developing nicknames and cracking us all up with her one-liner jokes. She is survived by her husband, daughter, son, and three dogs who will carry her spirit by remembering her funny words and contagious laugh.
