Linda Catherine Viscardi passed away peacefully on May 22, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on June 13, 1954, Linda dedicated her life to helping others, protecting those around her, and making a lasting impact both professionally and personally.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Ken Viscardi; her daughter, Jessica Dadigan, and son-in-law Nathan Knight; her beloved granddaughter, Kendall Knight; and her stepdaughter, Cait Gallegos, and son-in-law Tony Gallegos. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, mentor, and friend whose strength, intelligence, and compassion shaped the lives of everyone who knew her.

Throughout her remarkable career, Linda served Sacramento County for nearly 20 years before continuing her work in workplace and environmental safety with BloodSource/Blood Systems, Inc. as a Risk Manager and Safety Officer for 17 years. She later brought her expertise and dedication to Shriners Children’s Hospital, where she worked for over seven years helping ensure the safety and well-being of patients, staff, and visitors alike.

Linda’s professional achievements were extensive and reflected her unwavering commitment to protecting others. She held numerous certifications in ergonomics, OSHA compliance, hazardous materials and waste management, radiological alarm response, environmental safety, fire safety, and many other specialized areas. Her purpose was always clear: to help people and keep them safe.

Outside of her professional life, Linda was passionate about health, fitness, and empowering others to live stronger, healthier lives. She worked as a bodybuilder, personal trainer, and nutritionist for more than 20 years, inspiring many through her discipline, encouragement, and knowledge.

Linda’s accomplishments earned her widespread recognition. She was named to Cambridge’s Who’s Who list of top professionals in the world, received the Professional of the Year award representing Workplace Safety, and was honored as Woman of the Year. She was also featured in Chapter One as the Facility and Safety Expert in the book 101 Industry Experts.

Linda will be remembered for her fierce dedication, generous heart, determination, and the countless lives she influenced through her work, guidance, and love. Her legacy of service and strength will continue to live on through her family, friends, colleagues, and all those she helped throughout her life.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
