Leonora Ramos Butac “Mama” went home with the Lord on February 13, 2023 at the age of 82.

Mama was born on May 15, 1940 in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur. She married Juaquin Butac on November 30, 1954. She moved from the Philippines to Maui in September 1979. She later moved to California in the late 1990s. Mama worked for 20+ years at Napili Kai and for 2+ years at the Hilton.

Mama enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching TFC, and cooking various Filipino dishes (pinakbet, dinengdeng, balatong, adobo, and igado). Mama’s favorite thing to watch was “Natural Life TV” where women cooked various food in their village or various jungle home builders. Her favorite dish was Taco Bell crunchy tacos and favorite drink was diet Pepsi.
