Leon Henry Sievers

June 11, 1946 — February 13, 2022

Leon Henry Sievers, age 75 of Sacramento, CA passed away on February 13, 2022.

He was born in Carroll, Iowa on June 11, 1946 to Loyd and Julia Sievers. Lee was born a farmer, from the ears of Iowa to the hills of Missouri.

He attended Kuemper High School where he played basketball. He graduated early with straight A's, allowing him to further his education.

A proud Vietnam Veteran, Lee was an Expert Rifleman and recepient of 3 medals during his time in Vietnam. He served with honor for three years for the United States Army.

Upon his return from Vietnam, Lee had a variety of jobs that ranged from bar-tending to transporting Medical Supplies, people and rental cars. In 1993, he became the owner of Murphy's Saloon in Elk Grove, CA. He would enjoy this adventure for over 10 years.

Lee touched so many lives with his kindness, loving heart and unique sense of humor. He never met a stranger. Besides spending time with his family, he loved watching country western shows and his Pittsburgh Steelers!

Lee was the youngest of 11 children and is survived by his brother Leonard,(Diana), several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Lee married his first wife, Bette Anne Wong-Gumbiner and together they had Cynthia. He then married his second wife MaryAnn Oliveira-Trujillo and became a step father to Nicole. He then met his last love,  Mona Lucero and became a father figure to her three children: Anthony, Alina, and Regina.

He was a proud Father, Step Father and Father Figure to Cynthia, Nicole (Benjie), Anthony (Alexis), Alina and Regina (Mike).

He was a proud Grandpa to Callee Anne, Isabel (Richard), Alexis, Andrew (Alexa), Rachelle (Albert), Raina (Matt), Danielle, Anthony Jr, Salina, Maya and Mariana.

He was also a loving G~Papa to Melody, John, Ella, Bellatrix, Henry, Damian and was excited to meet Baby Mingura in September.

IT IS SAFE TO SAY LEE WAS A FAMILY MAN.
