Leatrice Maxine Petersen

Leatrice Maxine Petersen (Motteberg) passed peacefully in her sleep on March 21, 2023. She was ninety-seven years old and had lived in Sacramento County continuously since 1953. She was born on her parent's Minnesota farm in 1925. She was the eldest of four children. After graduation from high school, she married Ralph Petersen in 1945. They farmed and had two sons, Gerald and Darryl, while living in Polk County, MN. 
In 1953 the family moved to California; where in 1957 daughter Vikki was born. Leatrice was a faithful member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church for more than fifty years. Following her husband's death in 1989, she began working at the Gloria Dei School daycare. Known to many as "Grandma Lee", she was loved and will be missed by many.
