Lawrence Dean Riggs

On Friday, January 12, 2024, the Riggs/Wood family had to say goodbye to our dear "Papa," Larry Dean Riggs, who peacefully passed away during his afternoon nap.

Born on September 17, 1938, in Irons, Michigan, to Russell Riggs and Georgeann (Hinds) Riggs, Larry leaves behind a loving legacy. He is survived by his wife, Illene LeRee, daughters Jovonnie and Kristina, son Michael, step-sons Craig Wood (Sonja), Christopher Wood (Amy), and six wonderful grandchildren: Connor, McKayle, Henry, Jameson, Lila, and William.

Known as "Papa" to his family, he'll be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Larry was always busy, dedicating his time to family and various projects. A kind and loving soul, he generously shared his wisdom and time, always ready with a story or joke for any occasion.

Join us for services on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the chapel at East Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 4300 Folsom Boulevard, Sacramento, CA 95819.
