Larry Mauro

Larry Ernest Mauro was born May 23, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and passed away peacefully on August 15, 2023 in Sacramento, California. He was raised by his parents, Betty and Ernest G. Mauro who predeceased him. He is survived by his sister, Bonnie Mauro of Pennsylvania. Larry graduated from high school in 1961. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged at McClellan Air Force Base after serving four years on active duty. He often spoke fondly of his Air Force years, and was proud of his service. He made Sacramento his home and maintained an active life style. He especially enjoyed swimming, cooking, gardening, and getting together with friends. He is interned at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California where a private ceremony was held.
