In Loving Memory of Kenneth Seifert

December 28, 1941 – June 14, 2026

It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Kenneth Seifert on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in his home in Carmichael, California. Ken was 84 years old, and his remarkable journey began in Eagle River, Wisconsin, where he was born on December 28, 1941.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Iris and James Seifert, his younger brother Jack Seifert, and his beloved wife of 57 years, Frances Seifert. He is survived by his loving sons David (Jennifer) and Steven (Michelle) Seifert, his younger brother Jimmer Seifert, and his cherished grandchildren Thomas, Abigail, Megan, and Lindsey Seifert.

Ken’s life was filled with many achievements and passions. He graduated from Eagle River High School in 1960 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Michigan College of Mining and Technology (Michigan Tech) in the 1960s. His 35-year dedicated career with the California Department of Transportation began in Marysville, CA, with District construction. In the late 60s he moved to Sacramento and transitioned into transportation planning, and eventually, the Bridge Department. Ken’s work culminated in his role as Senior Bridge Engineer, specializing in seismic safety and design.

Ken’s love for the outdoors was a defining part of his life. He was an avid fisherman and hunter, sharing his passion with his children and friends on countless camping, fishing, and hunting trips. He found joy in building and fixing everything he touched, from designing and constructing a unique family home to maintaining his collection of old cars. Ken’s creativity shined in his garage, where he often crafted machines and gadgets with his welder and tools.
