Kenneth S. Fletcher Jr., age 82, of Providence, Rhode Island, passed away on January 30, 2024, in Sacramento, California.

Funeral Services will be held on February 20, 2024, at East Lawn Memorial Park Elk Grove located at 9189 East Stockton Boulevard, Elk Grove, CA 95624 with Dennis Dohner of The Family Church of Roseville, officiating. Services will begin at 10:00AM in the chapel followed by a graveside service with the Military Honor Guard. 

Ken was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Kenneth Sr. and Joan Fletcher on March 12, 1941. He attended La Salle High School and graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Ken was a veteran of the Vietnam War and successfully completed over 240 missions while serving in the United States Airforce. He was recognized for his service and awarded several medals including the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Medals (2 silver/1 bronze OLC), Presidential Unit Citation (1 bronze OLC), and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, among others. Ken continued to serve in the Airforce as an officer and retired honorably as a Major from Mather Air Force Base in 1984. 

Ken continued his education and career in Total Quality Management for which he developed and implemented programs to improve quality and safety at the Sacramento Army Depot followed by 16 years of service with Blue Diamond Growers of Sacramento, from which he retired in 2009.

Ken was a follower of Christ and a proud father and grandfather who enjoyed his retirement years attending recitals, sporting events, and birthdays for his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle through the foothills, driving down the coast in his convertibles, and serving his church, the Family Church of Roseville. In his final years, he shared many of his adventures and much love with Marcy by his side. Ken spent every summer visiting his sisters and their families and his friends in Rhode Island while enjoying lobster, little necks, and clam cakes. He even went sky diving, took a hot-air ballon ride, and traveled extensively.

Ken is preceded in death by his wife Ellen of 20 years and grandson Ethan. 

Ken is survived by his children: Holley and Rob, Donald and Sarah, Christine and Mark, and Noelle, as well as 13 grandchildren: Brianna, Taylor, Drew, Jarod, Justin, Joel, Joshua, RJ, Kellen, Jace, Evelyn, Caleb, and Graeme, one great grandchild: Lynnea, and 19 nieces and nephews. 

Pallbearers will be Donald, Christine, Jarod, Evelyn, Caleb, Graeme, Rob, and Mark
