Keith Erle Yarwood

November 5, 1946 — May 12, 2024

Sacramento

On Mother's Day, Keith Yarwood passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by those who loved him. Keith was a kind, generous, and gentle soul. He had a strong devotion to family and friends. Keith and his wife, Jean, shared love and inseparable devotion to each other for over 50 years.

Keith was born and raised in Sacramento. He graduated from C.K. McClatchy High School and the University of California, Davis, where he earned a degree in economics. He used his background, after a European sojourn, where he worked for Devader for Dun and Bradstreet. Keith valued his spirituality and spent his time volunteering at church. He wanted to share with those less fortunate, and he was often a part of those preparing meals for people in need.

Keith loved Sacramento and lived in Land Park. Often, Keith and Jean would be seen taking strolls among the huge shade trees, walking to the Tower Theater and dining at Vic's on his favorite egg salad sandwich. Keith had fond memories of his visits to Little River and Mendocino as a child. Often, he would visit to once again view the beauty of the coast and breathe in the crisp sea air.

Keith's memory will be treasured by those who knew and loved him for his kindness and warmth of spirit. Keith is survived and fondly remembered by his wife, Jean Totaro Yarwood, brothers Bruce Yarwood (Margareta), and Page Yarwood (Eli Kouchis), niece Julie Yarwood-Mattos (Bruce), Alexandra, Sophia, and Caroline Mattos, nephew Matt Yarwood (Kristin), Kylie and Alyssa Yarwood, Sister-in-law Anna Totaro, nieces Sarah and Laura, many cousins and good friends.
The celebration of life is being planned for this summer.
