Kathy M. Everett of 8457 Ardelle Way, Elk Grove, CA passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Sutter Hospital in Elk Grove.
She was born August 15, 1959, to Robert Louis and Phyllis (Danner) Everett in Pekin, IL.
She is survived by her life partner Valerie (Dee) Lapez of Elk Grove, two special children she helped raise, Mayorie and Virgil (Bargie) Sanchez also of Elk Grove. Also surviving are her mother of Mapleton, IL, her brother Bruce (Robin) Everett of Spring Bay, IL. Additionally, she is survived by Shereen (Randall) Berryman of Oklahoma, Stephanie Gilbert, Branden (Brittany Vance) Everett of Illinois, Suzanne (Justin) Lyons and Elizabeth (Tom) Nowak of Wisconsin. Kathy was also a great aunt of 10 nephews and 1 niece.She was preceded in death by her father and brother Richard of Mapleton, IL.
Kathy spent her childhood and early adult life in Illinois, prior to moving to California. At the time of her death, she worked for Delco Sales in Elk Grove, CA. Kathy’s career was spent in the plumbing/sales industry in Illinois, Hawaii, and California. She was an honorary member of Local 447 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.
Kathy enjoyed a sunny day on the water whether it was a lake or the ocean. She loved to go boating but she especially loved fishing. Kathy liked remodeling, cooking, vegetable gardening, relaxing at the beach and home. She was an avid Chicago sports fan, but especially the Cubs. Additionally, Kathy loved animals, but specifically dogs and cats.
Kathy’s service will be at East Lawn Cemeteries Funeral homes and Cremation Preplanning in Elk Grove, CA on 4/19 /2024 at 2pm. A reception will be held immediately after the service at
Local 447 Plumbers and Pipefitters Training Center
