Kathleen Marie Giese 

(1925-2021) 

On July 30, 2021, Mrs. Kathleen Marie Giese, 96, Doyle, CA, peacefully went home to be with our Lord, at the home of her daughter in North Highlands, CA. The former Kathleen Marie Skippon, was born Jan. 8, 1925 in the town of Sturgeon Bay, WI, to Samuel and Elizabeth (DeGodt).  She married the love of her life, Robert Vernon Giese, Dec. 6, 1942, in Sturgeon Bay, Wis., he preceded her in death, Feb. 24, 2016. 

Kathleen loved going to the casino, playing slot machines and bingo. Family was very important to her. She enjoyed time with her grandchildren, and they always looked forward to her homemade meals, especially “Grandma’s chili”. Above all else, Kathleen loved the Lord. She religiously prayed daily for her loved ones and all who knew her. 

She is survived by 2 sons, Steven (Sandra), Richard (Denise); 6 daughters, Maryanne Giese, Gloria (Elmer) Carothers, Brenda Witt, Susan (Charles) Emery-Sutton, Wendy (Sugar) Bridges, Dawn Giese; a brother, Robert Skippon, sister-in-law, Violet Skippon; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.  

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Robert Vernon Giese, Jr., son-in-law, Terry Witt; her siblings, Virginia (Curtis) Sorenson, Betty Skippon, Marion (Raymond) Hartl, Rolland Scipponi, and Kenneth Skippon. 

She will be missed by all who knew her. She will laugh and dance as she will be reunited with her Husband, Robert, and her son, Robert Jr., and all those that have passed before her.
