Passed away peacefully at home on June 6, 2025 at the age of 87. She will be deeply missed by daughters Kim (Robert) Matthews, Kathy Clark, Laura (Alan) Steed, and her siblings Margaret Norman, John Wilcox & Ron Colombo. She will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved dog, Bogie.
She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Sister and Friend. Preceded in death by her husband, George F. Clark Jr.
Kathleen was born in Mill Valley, California on November 21, 1937 to Laurine & Louis Colombo. She was raised in Santa Rosa prior to moving to Sacramento to attend and graduate from McClathy High School.
Kathy was very creative and artistic as a young woman. She designed stained glass and won many awards in competitions. She loved to paint and create mosaics. Her love of cooking for her family and friends led her to become a certified personal chef and form an Italian gourmet cooking group with friends she met in her Italian classes.
Kathy was fluent in Italian & some Portuguese and traveled to Italy many times. She and her husband also enjoyed traveling across the United States with the top down on their convertible T- Bird.
Kathy was an active volunteer for the American Cancer Society. She loved to read just about everything, garden, entertain and she achieved a purple belt in Tae Quon Do.
Friends and family are welcome to attend services on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Visitation will be held from 10- 11AM and the funeral service will begin at 11AM at East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95819. Light refreshments will be served afterward.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sacramento Society for the Blind in memory of Kathleen Clark.
