Katheen Louise Dumag

October 10, 1951 — July 9, 2025

With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Daughter, Aunt, and Friend, Kathleen (Kathy) Dumag, affectionately known as Nana to her grandchildren. Kathy departed this world on July 9, 2025, at the age of 73.

Kathy lived a life filled with love and unwavering devotion to her family. She was born in Oakland California on October 10th 1951. In the 60’s, her brother (Andy) brought home his friend Geronimo. On that same day, Geronimo said to Andy, “I am going to marry your sister”. The rest as they say, “is history”. Together they built a beautiful family having 3 kids and 23 grandkids.

As a mother, she was nurturing and wise, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting hug. Her favorite color was purple and she had a deep fascination for wolves. As Nana, she was pure magic. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy, she showered them with unconditional love. She will forever be remembered as the heart of Christmas.

Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love. She is survived by her mother Mary L Hill, her son Darrin Dumag, Daughters Jenny Dumag & Nikki Dumag, 13 Grandkids & 10 Great Grandkids, 5 nieces, 1 nephew and many great nieces/nephews, and countless others whose lives she touched.

She joins in heaven her beloved dad Leo Payne, Brothers Andrew Payne and Philip Payne, her grandmother Mary Sawle, and former husband Geronimo Dumag.

While our hearts ache in her absence, we take comfort in knowing her love will continue to guide us.
