Karen Irene Dollison

                Karen Irene Dollison passed away peacefully on January 23, in the embrace of her loving husband Bill at their home in Courtland California.

                Born, Karen Irene Strickland in Sacramento California, she spent her entire life in the greater Sacramento area.  She was a graduate of the Valley High School class of 1979 and moved to the Sacramento River Delta near Walnut Grove shortly after graduation to marry her high school sweetheart Jack Welch and start her family.

                Those closest to Karen knew her best for her strong will, incredible resilience, and unbridled love for her family and friends. In 2001, when her health began to fail because of renal failure, her brother Richard Strickland gave her a kidney.  She would spend the rest of her life revering her older brother for this gift that allowed her to marry her second husband Bill, spend another two decades with family and friends and become a grandmother 8 times over.

                Karen is survived by her Husband Bill, her three children Jack, Tish and Danny and her eight grandchildren Hayley, Claire, Daniel, Nathan, Bryce, Noah, Harper and Jackie.

Friends are welcome for a visitation from 5-8 pm on Thursday, February 10 and a funeral service at 10 am on Friday, February 11 all at East Lawn Elk Grove Mortuary, 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove California
