Julia Annette Mitchell

Born December 1, 1941, in Bay, Arkansas, passed peacefully on November 16, 2024, at The Commons in Elk Grove, California, after a prolonged battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was known by a few different names- Julia, Julie and lovingly JuJu. She was a devoted follower of Christ, a loving wife, wonderful mom and mother-in-law, grandma, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She will be missed by those who knew her quick wit, spunky attitude, generosity and how deeply and unconditionally she loved others.

Julia was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Don Mitchell, her parents Mavis and Marvin Allen, her in-laws Doris and Dewey Mitchell, her sister-in-law Loretta Allen, and her niece Valerie Allen. She is survived by her son Brent Mitchell and his partner Cari, her daughter and son-in-law Brenda and Kai Mickey; her grandchildren Kristen Mickey, Julia Mitchell, Tyler Mickey and his wife Rachel; her brother Jack Allen and his wife Janice, her sister Jan Lindroth and her husband Richard, her sister-in-law Connie Moon, her brother-in-law Danny Mitchell and his wife Juliann; her nephews Randy, John, Anthony, and Jason and her nieces Renee, Jodie and Jill and their families. She will be remembered with loving memories by her Uncle Neil, Aunt Bonnie, cousins, and friends. Family and friends are welcome to attend A Celebration of Life on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM at East Lawn in Elk Grove at 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove. A lunch reception will be held immediately following the services at Grace Community Church at 9661 Elk Grove Florin Road in Elk Grove.
