Judith Ann Mason, 86, of Sacramento gained her angel wings on August 6, 2025, surrounded by her family. She is survived by her children Cal (Cheryl) Mason; Leslie (Mark) Adams; Michael (Eva) Mason and Paul (Angie) Mason. Siblings; Adrienne Prokopis of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Andrew Prokopis of Sanbornton, New Hampshire, Sofia Rudesill and Toni Ferdelman of Minneapolis.
Judy was a mom to many; sheltering, nurturing, and loving anyone who crossed her threshold. She took pride in her work helping individuals by reviewing and ensuring their needs were met as a Disability Evaluation Analyst for the State of California.
She was a talented artist and brilliant wordsmith. Her passion for equality for all was proven through her work with a joint committee for legal equality in the 70’s. Judy’s position as staff consultant to Assembly Member Dymally and Senator Song were highlights in her life, affording her the opportunity to be an influencer and a voice for others.
Judy was a force of nature when it came to her children. Her strength, commitment, and ferocity ensured her children were solid, well rounded and empowered contributing individuals. She and her children became “The Mason Fist.” A fist that could not be pulled apart.
Judy’s grace, poise and quick, sharp wit is a legacy that continues to live on through her family and many others.
