Jenny Flores entered the kingdom of heaven on Thursday, November 3, 2022. She was born in Clarkdale, Arizona, on February 19, 1943, and lived in Yavapai County, in the towns of Flagstaff, and Concho, before moving to the California valley. The daughter of Sam and Josie Gallegos, she was the seventh of their ten children: Mary, Sam, Virginia, Flora, Lucy, Olivia, Jenny, James Jacob, James Joseph, and Marty.
Young Jenny helped her family both run the home and in ministry. She loved serving the Lord and met her future husband at a church revival. Jenny married Lionel Flores on November 18, 1961, and she will be laid to rest on what would be their 61st wedding anniversary. They had been married for over 52 years at the time of his passing on March 9, 2014. She raised their children with love in Northern California's Alameda County until moving to the Sacramento Valley in 2006. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and baking pumpkin pie, working in her garden, making floral arrangements, traveling to Hawaii, and going on road trips.
In addition, she was the life of the party, striking up a conversation wherever she went. Within minutes she had a fan club and a friend for life. She loved shopping, especially at Costco, and used that time to witness and minister to others. She loved spending time with her extended family and friends from church. She loved having tea parties and getting dressed up in her Sunday best. Jenny will be deeply missed and is survived by seven of their eight children: Felisa and her husband, Ted Sanchez, Lionel Paul, Kezia and her husband, Nick Svoboda, Andrew and his wife Linda, Evila, Gladys, Esmeralda and her husband, Dean Peña. She was preceded to heaven by her husband, Lionel, and their late infant son Chamo. She has seven grandchildren: Ted, Isabelle, Sabrina, Jacob, Korina, Chloe, and Sophie, and two great-grandchildren, Mariah and Macy. Along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and extended family. Jenny will be fondly remembered for her love of God, her love of family, and her heart for others.
