Joseph Earl Bailey

Joseph Earl Bailey passed away on January 16, 2024 from COVID.  Joe was born on September 15, 1934 to Joseph and Nettie Bailey in Black Creek, North Carolina.  He was the youngest of nine children, two girls and seven boys.  All have preceded him in death.  He was married to Esther for 31 years until her death in 1992.  He married Yolanda in 1997.  He is survived by daughters, Joy, Joanne, adopted daughter Serena, stepdaughter Vanessa, stepsons Roberto, Ricardo, and Demostenes, grandchildren Richie, Cindy, Liliana, Santiago, Elizabeth, Jessica, Marissa, and Liliana.  Joe served in the United States Coast Guard for over 20 years.   After retiring from the military, he drove for Sacramento Regional Transit until 2005.  Joe loved to travel and read historical non-fiction.
