Jose Alfredo Vallejo was born on February 11, 1959 in Leon Guanajato Mexico to Jesus Vallejo and Guadalupe Acosta. Jose fell in love with the City of Sacramento and has lived here since 1975. He married and raised his family in the Freeport area. He worked at Blue Diamond Almond Growers for over 24 years. He was passionate about helping and listening to people, and always there for his family. In his spare time, he taught his son how to work on things around the house and cars. He enjoyed listening to music in his garage for hours, watering his plants, fixing anything that was broken, and watching western movies. He loved working on cars, welding, fabricating, fishing, Budweiser, eating almonds, gardening and anything that had to do with his favorite classic rock songs. He is known for having a great big heart, giving ice cream to his granddaughters before meals, and his family gatherings at his house for a Carne Asada barbecue. To many of his family members, he was known as Tio Alfredo. He passed away at the age of 62 on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Sutter Hospital.
