Johnnie Donald "Duck" Davis

Johnnie Donald “Duck” Davis went home to be with the Lord on November 30, 2024.

Duck was born in Elmore, Oklahoma in 1937 to Ollie and Pauline Davis. Duck and his family traveled to California in 1938 during the Great Depression and settled in Loyalton, California. Duck graduated from Loyalton High School with a class of 16. He went to a barber college in Sacramento, California where he met his beautiful wife of 64 years Patricia Ann Davis. Duck is also survived by his three children, daughter Charlene Ann Borman [m. Wayne Keith Borman], Anthony Ray Davis, Paula Marie Pereira [m. Robert Joseph Pereira], his four grandchildren Moriah Elizabeth Brasel [m. Kristian Ray Brasel], Jessica Marie Bali [m. Gaurav Bali], Julian Nicholas Sanabria Pereira who went to heaven before him, and Olivia Marie Pereira, and four great-grandchildren Marley Ray Brasel, Jakob Ashton Borman-Bali, Max Ray Brasel, and Zen Bali. Johnnie served in the United States Army as a cook. Was a barber for many years, the original Fat Duck of Fat Ducks Pizza and was the original owner of the Elk Grove Sports Bar and Grill. Whether he was known as John, Duck, honey, dad, grandpa, papa, uncle, or friend, he touched many lives and will be greatly missed. 

A rosary and eulogies will be held on December 17, 2024 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm at East Lawn Mortuary [Elk Grove], 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA.

A funeral mass will be held on December 18, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 9961 Elk Grove Florin Rd, Elk Grove, CA 95624, followed by a burial at East Lawn Mortuary [Elk Grove], 9189 E. Stockton Blvd., Elk Grove, CA.
