John Keith Stevenson

John K Stevenson of East Sacramento died on December 28, 2023, after a short illness.  He was 87 years old.  His wife, Dorothy Krueger Stevenson preceded him in death as did his sister Donna (Stevenson) Stratton.  John is survived not only by his siblings:  Don Stevenson, Roy Stevenson, Ted Stevenson, Tom Stevenson, Ann Stevenson Pohl and Jerry Stevenson, but also by his and Dorothy’s many nieces and nephews.
He married Dorothy Krueger in February of 1974.  They were good companions for each other and shared an interest in sports, especially baseball and football and a shared love of cats.

John retired after 30 years of working in the communications industry on McClellan Airforce Base.
 He had been an avid bowler and was in a number of leagues throughout his life.  He had been a long-time San Francisco 49er fan, a true 49er faithful.  He and Dorothy were also Oakland A’s fans, even making many trips to Spring Training.
John was truly a numbers guy.  A geek before the term began to be used.  Before computers he used his slide ruler to solve many-a-problem. 
Uncle John was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.
