John "Rhoel" M. Galicia

           John Rhoel Munson Galicia, age 53 and a resident of Sacramento, CA, passed away on January 3, 2022.
           John Rhoel is survived by Lorna, his beloved wife; his children, Jonna and Zach; his father, Rugene Sr.; his brothers, Rugene Jr. and Rhoneil; his sister-in-laws, Michelle and Dejah; and his nieces and nephews, Vianca, Veronica, Noah and Saxon.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Brenda.
           John Rhoel was born in the Philippines.  An avid scholar, he achieved his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Chemistry at De La Salle University in Manila, Philippines, and his Master of Science (MS) in Chemistry at DePaul University in Chicago, IL.  His accomplished career led him to assume the prestigious titles of Chemist, Scientist and Physicist.  

He enjoyed many hobbies through his life including breakdancing, basketball, handball, golf, grilling and table tennis.
A God-fearing man, he lived by the teachings of Jesus Christ and was grateful for the many blessings in his life. John Rhoel’s greatest accomplishments were being an excellent, supportive father to his two children; a loving and faithful husband to his wife; and the best son, brother and uncle. He befriended all with his infectious smile and warm hugs.
John’s favorite Bible verses were Philippians 4:6-7: Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
The family and friends of John Rhoel will carry his memory in their hearts.
