Joe Sr was preceded in death by his parents: Jimmie Walters Sr and Roberta Strudivant; daughter: Angel Walters; siblings: Susie M. Lavant, Janice Sharpe and Earnest Sturdivant.

He leaves memories to: three daughters: Kasandra L. Walters and Eboni N. Walters of Rio Linda, California, Joilaina D. Walters of Cocoa Florida; Two sons: Joe (Carolina) W. Walters Jr, Jewaun M. Walters, all of Cocoa Florida; siblings: Barbara Caffey; Jimmie (Val) Walters, Tony (Melissa) Surdivant, Edward Sturdivant, Michael (Samantha) Sturdivant, all of Selma Alabama, Johnny Walter of Los Angeles, California, Rose (Johnny) Watts of Atlanta GA, Barbara (Tim) Walter, Laynett Walter, all of Selma AL. Numerous grand-children; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
