Joe Miller

Joe Miller passed away peacefully at his home on February 20, 2025 at the age of 87. Joe was born in Sacramento, CA on November 5, 1937 and attended Elk Grove High School until graduation when he immediately entered the Navy. Joe served his country for 20 years on submarines, including in Vietnam. After retiring from the Navy, he went to work on Offshore oil rigs overseas in Canada, Brazil and Scotland where he met his wife Lynda Meyer, and married in 1977. Joe also worked in various US Nuclear Power plants until his retirement in 1996. Joe, Lynda and her daughter, Shellby, relocated back to Sacramento in 1986 to be close to family. Joe is preceded in death by his parents Joe and Paula Miller, brother John Miller, wife Lynda Meyer and her daughter Shellby Meyer and his nephew Dennis Miller. Joe is survived by his niece Nancy (Miller) Swasey and her family and the children of Joe’s nephew Dennis Miller, Nick Miller and Bayli Miller. Burial will be private at the National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
