Joan "Toni" Bobo

Toni was born in Sacramento, CA to Sam and Ella LaBrasca.  She was married to Richard for 69 years and had two sons, Michael and Brian.  She is survived by her sister Annabelle Fowles.  

For 60 years she enjoyed summers at their family cabin.  She was an excellent cook, and also liked gardening and spending time in the yard.  She kept her mind sharp by solving Word Search puzzles, as well as playing Solitaire, Mahjong and other games on her tablet.

The last 10 years were difficult due to a number of health issues, but she never stopped fighting nor lost her love for life.  Her body finally wore down and she began her final journey home.  The family is especially grateful to the care that was provided by her hospice team during the three weeks before her passing.  Toni wanted to spend her final days at home, and hospice made that possible.  

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anthony Church, 660 Florin Rd. on March 6th 2024 at 10:00am.  Interment to follow at St Mary Cemetery, 6509 Fruitridge Rd. at Noon.  A celebration of life will be planned for a future date.
