Jett was preceded in death by his mother, Madeline King Racobs, and father, Loren Racobs; sister, Marilyn Holley (née Goodman) and brothers, Tighe Racobs and Keith Goodman.

Keith's wife Estrellita Goodman remains. Dane Goodman is his surviving brother. Other remaining family includes Dane's wife, Marie Schoeff, and their daughter, Perry Schoeff Goodman, niece; niece Heather Keung (née Holley), her husband, Jim Keung, and their children Edie and Ethan Keung; niece Bethany Racobs Ashford, her husband, Chase Ashford and their son, Kye Ashford; and cousins, Patrick King, Angie Bree, Bill Bree, Dan Bree, Karen Bree Ferguson, and Diana Kattner.

Within his family, Jett was adored and thought of with smiles and sweetness. He was a joy to be with and uplifted everyone. Because of his acting talent, his tales often left his family in tears of laughter. He was at home in the kitchen, cooking dishes learned from his mother and his grandmother, Rowena Racobs.

Born on January 27, 1958, in Lincoln, Illinois, Jett later completed his education in Decatur, Illinois, graduating from Decatur Eisenhower High School in 1976 and then attending Richland Community College. After leaving Illinois, he lived in Phoenix, Arizona and in the California cities of Oakland, Gualala, San Rafael, San Diego, and Sacramento.

In his early twenties, he was a stage actor in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he was well-received. Most of his working life was spent in the retail industry. Jett was personable and positive, a perfect fit for his successful career as a restaurant manager for The Olive Garden, an award-winning manager for Nordstroms, and a top salesman at three large furniture companies: R. C. Willey (Sacramento), Ashley, and The Room Store.

Respected for his deep knowledge of what he sold, his honest dealings with his customers, and his camaraderie with his co-workers, Jett was admired for his kindness, support of others, great fashion advice, pie baking, humorous stories, and wit.

Highly creative and visually inclined, he was a keen observer with a passionate curiosity about art, design, fashion, and architecture, particularly Frank Lloyd Wright’s buildings.

Jett was a beautiful, singular being who shaped his life in his own way.

He was loved by all in his world and gave love out with compassion and grace.

Jett Racobs' remains will rest at East Lawn Cemetery in Sacramento.
