In Loving Memory of Jennie L. Yee
Jennie, a dedicated wife, loving mother, and a devoted grandmother, passed away peacefully at
the age of 74 on Thursday, August 31, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her
beloved family.
Born on March 3, 1949, in the vibrant city of Hong Kong, Jennie was the second child of Tak Li
and Yuk King Lee. Her life was a testament to resilience and dedicaton, as she embarked on a
remarkable journey that brought her to the United States at the tender age of 16. Her dream
was to reunite her family, which included her parents and siblings, and she achieved this by
starting a sewing shop alongside her husband, Hoover, of 58 years.
Her life was defined by the roles she cherished most - as a loving wife, a caring mother, and
grandmother. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and affection that will forever be etched in
the hearts of her family. She is survived by her husband, Hoover, and their four children, Alice,
Denise and her husband Greg, Suelynn, and Michael. She was also the proud grandmother of
three grandchildren, Traynise and her husband Quinton, Jason, and Kayla.
In additon to her immediate family, Jennie is remembered by her sister, two brothers, and their
respective spouses, as well as her sister-in-law and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews. She
was preceded in death by one brother.
She had a deep passion for the simple pleasures in life. Her green thumb was evident in the lush
and colorful garden she nurtured over the years, a testament to her love for nature and beauty.
She had an innate talent for growing various flowers that brought joy and serenity to all who
visited her garden.
Her culinary skills were legendary, as she often delighted in preparing delicious meals for her
family. Jennie's kitchen was a place where love and laughter were shared freely, and her recipes
will be cherished for generations to come. Her love for Chinese soap operas on television was
another source of joy, a shared experience that brought her family closer together.
Jennie’s life was a tapestry of love, perseverance, and devotion. She leaves behind a profound
legacy of family unity, nurturing gardens, and unforgetable meals. Her memory will forever be
an inspiraton of warmth and love in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know
her.
We bid farewell to a remarkable woman who touched our lives with her unwavering love and
kindness. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
