Jeffrey Jonathan Curtis
Dec. 17, 1968 â Aug. 22, 2021
(As he liked to tell people, itâs just Jeff)
He was born on December 17, 1968 in Charlottesville, Virginia
To his Dad Jerome J. Curtis Jr. whom he will join in heaven and his mom Diane E. Curtis. His brother Jason Curtis came along a few years later. Around the age of 5 years old, his family moved to Sacramento, California and built a house in the Land Park area. This is where he later attended and graduated from Christian Brothers High School. He also spent some time in college taking classes like drafting and Auto CAD. He enjoyed it but driving a semi-truck made it difficult to attend.
He had several jobs in his lifetime including working at Yosemite National Park and planting trees. Also, working for Brick Oven pizza. He also worked for 9 years at California Office Furniture where he delivered office furniture all over town. In 1998 he decided to attend truck driving school and started his career as a semi-truck driver where he worked for several different companies during his tenure. Doing everything from flat beds to tankers, boxes, pneumatics, and refers. The last company he worked for was SS. Skikos Inc. He enjoyed being on the road and driving to see new places. Throughout all of his education and jobs, he had made a lot of lifelong friends he spent many many minutes on his cell phone all times of the day and night to try his best to keep in touch.
On May 15, 1999, He married the love of his life Shelley Curtis. Over their 22 years of marriage, they enjoyed all types of fishing in CA and Oregon. They also liked to take their annual three-week vacation in October for Camping and Deer Hunting in the Mendocino National Forest. They didnât always get a deer, but enjoyed the time alone together. When they werenât hunting or fishing, they loved to visit the beaches along the California coast and Oregon. He also fell in love with Hawaii
when they took a trip for their anniversary. They had many more plans for the future, but he passed way too soon. He leaves behind lots of friends and family that he loved so dearly. His nieces included Khrysten Reali, Amberlyn Clark, Tawnya Curtis, and Alexis Curtis. His nephew Kurtis Schmidt. He also has a grand-niece Abbigail Reali and is joined in heaven by grand-nephew Bryce Reali.
Jeff, you are no longer by our side, but will forever be in our hearts.
